The Eyes and the POSSIBLE

 

I loved reading Dave Eggers book The Eyes and the Impossible. What a beautiful adventure with one of the most delightful protagonists! His view of the world made me wish I could peer into the minds of the animals I encounter in my own neighborhood. They may feel the same, like this deer in my photo. He seemed more than a little curious about what I was up to as I cooked breakfast that morning.

Perhaps we could all learn more about community and friendship in our interspecies world if we grew eyes for the POSSIBLE.

There is a good reason for this; lately I have been spending much of my creative time writing poetry. Of course, I haven't lost interest in children's literature!
